Still lots going into the ground these days, preparing for our CSA to start in about 1 month’s time. We’re hoping to get some things up sooner than that so we can get to market! Here are some photos of our progress as of Sunday….

Dad cropping. We are re-seeding the hay fields with a nurse crop of oats. Should be done by Wednesday.

We have some row covers protecting some of our sensitive plants and also those that the bugs like to eat i.e. arugular, radishes, bok choy…

Under the cover you can see our little radishes on their way 🙂

Lettuces are growing – here are a new variety we are trying out called “Jester”. So far they look gorgeous!

We’re experimenting with growing peppers inside the greenhouse instead of the field. We think the peppers will appreciate the extra heat and protection in the greenhouse. We have about 100 of them… so we’ll probably be putting some out in the field as well.

Plenty of seedlings itching to get out in the field. We’ve had some delays with the land prep, but we should get getting all of this and more, transplanted within the week.
